I have a chance to buy a complete set of 1970 wheel opening trim moldings from an AAR Cuda. They are polished and anodized. What's a good price?

I'm assuming they are originals? Does anyone know if there is a way to tell the originals vs new parts?

Matt13

Yes, they are supposedly originals to the owner's '70 AAR, cleaned, polished and anodized.

Wheel lip moldings on an AAR were an extremely rare option...I would say a nice set of restored originals would be in the $800 range...HOWEVER I don't know that there would be anyway to prove they are originals, especially since they have been mucked with :alan2cents:

Were wheel opening trim moldings available on AAR Cudas?

I second that inquisition. Four wheel discs??  No such thing.

Also, and, off topic, but...  wasn't quick ratio steering standard on the AARs and TA?  And it was the longer pitman arm and idler arm that made it quick ratio, not the steering box, correct?  Or no?  Was power steering standard on the AAR or manual?
Remember, wherever you go, there you are.

I found it on the interweb, so it HAS to be true...yes?

Ok everyone, judging by the responses, I guess $400 for the set would be a good deal, AAR or not.

My Slant6 Challenger had these on the car new when I bought it. With the last full paint, about late 90's I pulled all of the stainless and alum trim and had it all professionally cleaned up and then polished. Including the original WOM they turned out great. Glad I had them done back then.

YES, $400 is a decent deal if they are in nice condition in my opinion
