What tires should I get ?
Point is it depends on your car and how you drive it.
More information needed, your question is too vague.

Thompson P 255/60/R15 and 245/60/R15

Mainly city use and easy.

Best Bang for the buck. Bilstein RCD
Dollar for Dollar, they are probably the best money I ever spent on improving the ride of my Cuda.

Chryco Psycho

Do not even consider KYB , they ride way tooo hard
QA1 are good also .

OK, so that is the whole story ? Stock suspension and ride height, just looking for shocks ?
Just to be clear about what exactly shock absorber are supposed to do. They don't really absorb shock, that is what they are called on this side of the pond. Actually they are called "dampers". Their job is to control the action of the spring and un sprung weight. So depending on the type of suspension system, the strength of the springs, the travel of the suspension, the aspect ratio of the tires and the tire pressure among other things. The shocks job is to keep the tire in contact with the track/ground. Too stiff and the car bounces over road dips and bumps. Too soft and the car loses stability.

Thanks for the info Gents.

Yes, stock car. Almost everything is original.

Did put some Monrow inflatable shocks in the back some 30 years back.
Car is in the shop with an excellent mechanic and car collector.
He tried the car and feels I could get a nicer ride with other shocks so cconsidering changing them.

I have QA1 double adjustable on both my cars. Never had an issue with them in 10 years now. Adjustable shocks are nice in that you can adjust them for a soft ride or more aggressive for handling. Single adjustable are cheaper.
Might be overkill if your car is just used to go get ice cream and car shows though.
Depends on how you plan on using your car. For most Bilstein RCD shocks would suffice.

I will search for Bilstein and QA1 here in my country.

Thank you much for the good Info!

What is your country ?
Also your tires are much bigger than stock and need less air pressure. A mistake a lot of guys make is to not take the size vs. load into consideration. Air pressure are determined by the amount of weight a given tire is going to support.
A tire is basically a balloon. Compare a 10 speed type bicycle. The tires which are very skinny so there is not much volume need 60-70 lbs. psi. A rear tire on a farm tractor may only need 10 lbs. psi to support  it. The tractor tire take a lot more volume of air to fill it so it needs less pressure.
]Your tires should probably only be inflated to 20-25 lbs. If you have 35 psi now the ride difference will be a lot better.

Thx for that MoparLeo.

I am in Guatemala.   Most of our streets are kind of uneven and one can find unexpected holes here and there.

The mechanic seeing the car is a very experienced and collector guy.

I told him about considering bilster shocks, he said to have had some in a camaro and were to stiff.    He liked the white KyB  but the consensus here for KyB is not good and Bilster a winner.
Could it be because of different models of shocks within each brand?
