I'm sure this is a  :deadhorse: question but what is the typical backspacing that works for a stock rear suspension and a 275/60/15 tire and a 15x8 rim?   4.5? 4.25?

On my Challengers I've had good luck with 4 1/2" backspacing on a 15x8" wheel and 275/60-15 tires.

Stock E-body rear end width and slightly over stock leaf spring ride height.

I also use the same 15x8 wheel with 4 1/2" backspacing on the front with 245/60-15 tires.

It looks really nice. I measured the stock rim at 4.25 bs and where my wife ordered her rims for the 275/60/15 tires she wanted only sold 4.25 bs. Everyone else said the same thing as you with 4.5 in bs. I hope the 4.25 will be OK. Otherwise I will have to either return them or get a .25 spacer.
