Best way to r and r lower control arm bushings

I took it down the street to have them taken out and the new ones pressed in
I got raped on the price but three reputable shops turned me away lol
They said they work in younger stuff

I welded a washer to it and used the press again to push it out.

I did the welded washer on the first one and it worked just fine.  On the second one,  I couldn't get it to break loose and kept ripping the washer off.  So I used an inline air saw to slit the bushing in four or five places.  Then a small cold chisel was used to fold it in on itself, weld together and pushed out.  That worked well, just have to watch the depth you are cutting too.  The washer alone was easier, but in my case, needed some help by reducing the surface area in contact.
