Can you flip the center steering link or does it just go on one way? If so would it give you more clearance? I am having an issue with it and the oil pan. Actually not sure how it is on right now. Shop messed around with it.

You can flip it right to left but not top to bottom because of the taper on the idler/pitman arms. I  don't think it would be a good idea to mount it any other way then stock :alan2cents: Maybe it's in wrong now ?
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

It might be for all I know with this group I dealt with. Any easy way to tell?  Unfortunately I don't have a lift so it is difficult to see. Has anyone ever shimed up an engine at the mounts?  say like 1/4 inch?

Yes I have shimmed mine up about 1/4"  for header clearance.

The FSM suggests ovalling the hole for the idler arm so it can be lowered , you can shim the steering box slightly as well I would do this Before lifting the engine

first thing is to check and make sure your motor mounts are not worn out and in need of replacing?

Thanks for the info and advice. I will look into it this weekend.  :wrenching:  I think i just need about 1/4 inch or less.
