Question on aftermarket suregrip rearend

Does anybody have any experience with these aftermarket Sure Grip  rears.

I have an 8  3/4 489 case with 3:23 gears but open carrier, and I am pretty sure the car came with a sure grip, otherwise they wouldn't have stripped it out. Can I swap one of these units into the 489 using the existing ring gears?
