Hello All,

I need to replace the Combination valve (Kelsey Hayes KH 89410) on my '73 Challenger. Power brakes. Disc up front. Drum in back. 1.031" bore master cylinder.

Planning on installing this one from Master Power Brakes: VL3360K
https://www.mpbrakes.com/accessories/vl3360k-universal-disc-drum-combination-valve-kit.asp?catid=F9B6FF78C06046AC85A6C259620BE1AC

Anyone have experience with this valve? Or a better one to recommend?

Thanks,
Ray

I lean towards OEM parts. Check with Dr. Diff. Great to work with and will have what you need.

Just check fittings and be prepared to adapt
RoyL - If you know a source for OEM please let me know - I do not believe they are available. I had my original - rebuilt it with a kit from DMT - but I could not get the prop valve plug to seal so I abandoned it and replaced it with one like:
https://www.amazon.ca/UTSAUTO-Front-Brass-Brake-Proportioning/dp/B07K3V9JTM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2RNO19KAMDRD7&keywords=proportioning+valve&qid=1688305347&sprefix=propor%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-1-spons&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.b06bdbbe-20fd-4ebc-88cf-fa04f1ca0da8&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
Had to make a mounting bracket and adaptors on 2 lines - used adapters so I could go back to OE if I ever found one or a way to seal mine. Line orientations are same. From specs found these are for Camaro - F/R weight distro is very similar so should proportion ok.
Similar to MP Brakes - also one on Classic Ind but they say it is AL - I chose brass being a bit stronger as some comments mentioned they stripped. I put my lines in tight no issue.
Car is not on the road yet so absolute function TBD - but bled out good and no leaks - good pedal feel. Suggest you also get:

As it is not clear that these aftermarket ones will auto reset as the SM indicates the OE ones do.

Sorry my mistake.  Not DMT..... MCR muscle car research.

Mrbill426

@moparroy ok got it.  I was wondering if someone else was supplying them.  I rebuilt mine with one of MCR's kits and though I have not had it out on the road yet it hasn't leaked.  Fingers crossed :fingerscrossed:
