Getting my front suspension pieces ready to go to the sandblaster. Are torsion bars okay to sandblast?

Topcat

I personally would not.  :alan2cents:

The outside surfaces are hardened.

Paint stripper then 3M pad scuffing along with Lacquer Thinner, clean up.

Good advice, and you could also probably get away with having them soda or media blasted, as they're minimally invasive. I saw a guy demonstrating soda blasting once, take the paint off a Coke can and never damage the can itself. Just my  :alan2cents:

Yes, I think I'll go with Mike's advice and handle them with kid gloves. Thanks.

If you find any deep scratches and gouges, you should sand those areas smooth.  If a torsion bar is going to break, it will break at a sharp edge.
