Wave Washer in '71 Steering Column

I have disassembled the steering column (floor shift) and discovered there is no "Wavy Washer" on top of the support washer on top of the column.  I have not seen a source for this item.  I did see a post that indicates a '71 may not have one.  Thoughts?  If in fact it has one, I would certainly appreciate help in obtaining one.  Thanks!

Most 1971 columns do not have one....I just restored an original column a couple of weeks ago.

   My 71 didn't have one either.

My 74 didn't have one either.  Granted, column could have come from a different year.  I don't think it was ever disassembled down to that washer regardless though.
