I'm not sure where to buy just the boot.  I ended up with a few extras so I've been lucky.  But it does seem like the boots tear easier these day.

Rubber compounds were originally developed from old natural gum rubber and progressed all the way through advanced polymers, chemists added many compounds to improve various characteristics including wear & durability.....  Among the compounds that really improved durability was lead.... Well we all know concentrations of lead compounds are bad for the environment so if you want rubber that lasts buy older rubber made in the 60's or 70's before the EPA "fixed" it...  These days new rubber components fail while still sitting on the shelf...

Have a truck that we don't use much, tread has plenty of life left, but the side wall has huge cracks. About 6 years old.

This video came up right after the one wild posted. Don't know if it'll work on our cars. Maybe worth a try :notsure:
I had to swap spindles on front from side to side used a gear puller for tie rod ends and ball joints
