I like the '72 to '74 Acorns but staying somewhat true to my '71 keeps me undecided.

17's are the new 14's...

Except there are some decent performance cars that came with 17s that will ensure a supply of specific sizes for some time to come.  275/40ZR17 was standard front tire size on a number of Vipers. 285/40ZR17 was a standard rear time on a number of Vettes. How much more variation do you need with  8 and 9.5 widths? its not like you can get these wheels in 10,11, or 12 widths to need an even wider range of tire sizes.

275/40R17 are not at all available here where I live (Croatia). If I get YO 17" wheels I'd need to order them from maybe UK and even then there's like just 2-3 brands to choose from. That's about the only thing keeping me away from those wheels...

Like this car a lot, but I never noticed till recently that it has has two different center caps. Maybe this will help you figure out which ones you like best. For me the front wheel centers seem to have a little cleaner simpler look to them.

71 centers for sure if it was up to me. Or 71 centres for my friends in the Great White North.
