Will these fit ok? So I figured I'd ask a silly question before I make a silly mistake. I have to replace at least two tires and eventually switch to 15 inch wheels to clear the big brakes so I figured I'd do all new wheels and tires in one shot. This is about the best bang for my buck I can find.

4) 15x8 Wheels 0 offset, or 4.5 backspace.
2) 245/60 r15 Hankook kenergy front tires
2) 255/60 r15 Hankook kenergy rear tires

I've heard mixed results of fitting 275 60 r15 on the rear so I figured 255 wouldn't be too much of a step down. 8 inch wheels upfront okay? Any opinions on the Hankook kinergy Tires?

Wheels will fit fine.  Double check the hub bore. Need 72mm
I like Hankook tires,  but not familiar with kenergy line.

275's will fit easily on the rear with the correct offset and wheel width.   I don't know what that is offhand.  What you have listed will fit too.  I have 255/60 on the front of mine on 7" wheels and there is room to spare.

Thanks @dodj , yes they are like a 81mm bore wheel. Cool my new shoes are on order!

@gzig5 , wheels aren't in stock for a few days so I could change to that 275, I just don't want to fight tire fit a few weeks before my upcoming car show.

Before you order you really need to measure YOUR car to make sure.  They can vary.  I have at least 1/4" less clearance on one side than the other in back.  Not sure if it is the rear end not being centered or a panel mount thing, but if it is going to be close you need to measure. Plenty of tutorials on the web for figuring out what will fit and how to measure from the mounting surfaces.  If you aren't comfortable doing it, find a shop that can do it for you.

@gzig5 thanks, I'm kind of ordering blind as the vehicle is a couple hours away from me for now, I'll see what I can come up with before shipping.

15 X 8 on the fronts is not always a good choice. Make sure you can send them back. You need a lot of positive offset on the old cars to fit big tires. Modern suspensions are designed from the start for positive offset. Not in the old days. Rim and tires were much narrower than today.  Sway bar, inner fender etc. can rub when turning. if there is a problem.

8" rims having zero or +/- up to 1/2 " offset.. either way... will work.    Diameter of tire is the issue for fender clearance... slight lip rolling is ok to do if owner is willing (more-so needed in the rear vs the front).... based upon my experience.  Tall tires may hit more easily vs short tires.

I have this same combination on a '71 Challenger. 15x7 front 245/60, 15x8 rear, 275/60 4.5 backspace. No rubbing, no issues. The rear end is offset .5 inch to the passenger side, has about 3/8" gap to stock fender lip.
The Hankooks appear to be mileage tires, even the GT's looked like they have a 540 wear rating. I wouldn't expect them to "enhance" traction at all. 😉

 thanks guys for your input, I went down and looked at some kenergy versus Cooper cobras and for the little extra switched to the cobras. So I decided to stick with the cheaper 255 rear for now as I have future plans to move Springs and shove some wider tires in there later. Also stuck with the 8 x 15 Wheels all around, we'll see that was the right choice LOL. Pictures to follow :burnout:

Tires fit well, a tiny bit of rub in the front backing down a hill wheels turned but thats it. Glad I didn't go bigger in the rear with these wheels offsets, I'm cozy to the fender but have most of the spare room inboard. Thanks for the input! Tires on in time for the parade.

71.5 to be exact

Torque Thrust D's have a center hub bore of 83.10

These are a non-issue for hub bore.

I would however recommend hubcentric rings..
