Where do I get 160 pound per inch leaf springs?

Espo said they only offer factory stuff, which tops out at 130 pounds per inch.

Any ideas?

Is it for an E-Body or a different project?

I think most spring companies that do re-arches could make you custom leafs.  Might look at these guys:

https://www.eatondetroitspring.com/

They list a couple leaf springs for 1970 Challenger.  One is shown at 175 rating.

Not 160 but..... https://landrumspring.com/products/leafsprings/chrysler-multi-leaf-springs/

I am using composites but they are pricey and requires  good shocks like QA1 double adjustable
http://www.hypercoils.com/leaf-springs

Most performance Chrysler leaf spings are superstock length requiring a different hanger

I don't mind getting the different hanger.  I'm aiming for a stock ride height, but it's not critical by any means.

I'm putting together a big order for Firm Feel, but I want to make sure to order everything at once so that I don't have multiple shipping charges.
At the moment, I'm leaning towards the RCD Bilsteins from Firm Feel.  I didn't have quite as much time to research shocks as I would have liked though.

I'm only 5 miles from Firm Feel.... let me know if I can help with anything.

I've used Bilsteins many times on other vehicles and have been extremely happy.  Great shocks!

I had those RCD shock on then sold them. Found they couldn't keep up with the composite springs. They react much quicker than steel.

Currently, I'm thinking that I'll run
1.00 Torsion Bars
1.125 Front Sway Bar
Leaf Springs 160 lb
No Rear Sway Bar

I'm guessing that I'll have about 56% of my weight on the front, but that's just a guess.
I'm guessing the overall vehicle weight might be around 3,800 lbs.

As far as handling goes, the front suspension parts on a 70 B body are all the same as what you'd find on an E body.

I figure that I can either add a .75 rear sway bar, or change the front sway bar to 1.25 if I find that I need to make one end of the car stiffer.

What do you guys think?
Will this setup be to stiff for a street driven car on 15 inch tires?

HP2

Go with a 120# rear spring and a .75" rear sway bar.

I'd say factory  XHDs are closer to 140-145 than 130.  Oval track springs are 120 and there is a obvious difference between them and XHDs.

If you can't buy em, build em.  Take your 140# and add a full length stock leaf and re-check.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Espo yet http://www.springsnthings.com/leaf-spring.htm
They've been the go to place for ebody leafs anyway

I took it as he was looking for other options other than ESPO?  :dunno:

Or order the 175# Espo springs and remove a leaf.

When I called Espo, they said that 130# was the biggest they had, and they don't take custom orders.
I was kind of surprised that they don't take custom orders.

Must be getting them made some where else who doesn't make custom spring rates?
