Sitting in the drivers seat looking over the T/A Scoop has always been special... AAR's are cool but the T/A scoop is much cooler...  Really fun car to drive...  And a car that must have a 4 speed...

Okay guys....met with you at Carlisle, even hooked you up with some NOS strikers ;).....Your car looked amazing at the show....so where's the update ? How's final assembly coming along ? Are you out burning rubber yet ?

We need some updated pictures :drooling:

Not a whole lot to report recently.  The car made it down and back safely, which was perhaps most important.

The door strikers went on in the tent after some good intel on a very solid vendor (thanks @anlauto for the promising lead).  Got a bunch of misc odds and ends (and left HALF of them at the same tent I bought the strikers from; ask @mymcodebee about how fast we hot-footed it back to grab them...they set them aside for the guy in the hat and we got there right before they shut it down on Sat! LOL)

Ordered up a better stripe kit than what we had previously, restoration battery, and a windshield from ECS correctly date coded for the car.

Now that Carlisle is in the rearview mirror (literally), we can be more methodical. Couple more coats of clear, cut and buff, etc. The items listed above were the last of the bigger ticket items needed to complete the car.

I know  :needphotos: and they are coming.

Okay, just to keep it interesting:

Owner #1 and owner #3 in the first pic. Seems like a loooong time ago. First owner on the right.

Owner #2 right after I touched down to see the car on July 6th. Full weekend thrash to make it a roller for Carlisle!

Owner #4 came by on the 8th of July with Owner #3. Quite a difference! @Machoramcharger @Mymcodebee and others worked some serious magic!

Owner #3 slamming home a dogdish before Carlisle!

Owner #4 getting in on the action!

Getting all these guys in one place with the car is my priority when it is done. For now Owner #3 and 4 will have to do.

That was all right before our 14 hour jaunt to Carlisle! Whew!

Carlisle in the tent. Good way to combat the rain and then the brutal sun!

Lots of foot traffic, the car was well received despite being a roller, but people got to see some of the details that will otherwise be covered up soon! Most people thought it was really cool way to see a true "work in progress". I have to agree.

Super Special car indeed. As for the comment about looking over the hood from the driver seat of a 70' T/A.. 8)
I'm very lucky to own one.

@Machoramcharger and @Mymcodebee have had this discussion with me before and we have pretty much concluded that there are only two ways of doing things:

1) the right way

Or

2) over again

I am beyond pleased with how well the car is turning out. They have busted it pretty hard to get it this far. Some good vendors and people along the way have help  make this happen, and I can't wait to show the previous owners their old car just exactly how it used to look.
