Quick question. Of the few Hellcats conversions being completed right now.  Why do the clutches the hellcats come with have to be scrapped.  Is there not a standard trans that will work with these conversions as is.  I see you had to remove a bushing to get your T56 to mount and wondered why you went this option and everyone else is as well?

clutch- from the factory these are mated to the TR6060 which is completely different then the T56. nothing is interchangeable between the 2 and to retro fit a TR6060 is a huge hassle. much easier to get the T56 kit or if you wanted an auto the A41.
Bushing- the engine John bought was built for an auto. All FCA Auto cranks have the bushing to hold the nose of the torque converter. Must be removed to install the pilot bearing.

Ahhhhh.  So I wont have to deal with that?

I have to order my trans asap.  So looking at a T56, bellhousing, new clutch, crossmember.
Any other major items I am missing.  Sorry to ask this on your post John but figured this may be the place to hash out this Hellcat swap stuff..

This is a perfect place to hash these things out. As Dave said the reason you don't or typically don't use the clutch that comes on the Hellcat is due to you're not using the same factory transmission. There are some great manual trans choices to pick from. If you haven't picked yet I'd be happy to cover the ones I looked at.

Well that's a bit scary..  I only have three of those boxes so far but the rear end on mine is done and ready to go so that will save a couple..

Thanks Dave.  I just spoke with a vendor out in CA, out your way that is a broker for T56's.
He is a moparts member that contacted me a while back on a T56.
What Bellhousing did you end up using.

Yes I am open to anyone giving me a list of stuff and price for what we need.
I will be placing order within a couple days.
Goal is try to get this charger to Carlisle this year so the more complete the kit I order the better...
Thanks Dave for letting me hop on here with questions.

MoparDave
