70 Challenger RT/SE 440-6pack "shaky SHAKER"

Quick glance at some of my photos of fender tags and I'm not seeing any EN2 on e-bodies late in 1970.  Maybe @6bblgt  has some thoughts on it too?  It does look to be as if they stopped using line 2 for E-Bodies at some point.

it appears: 1970 HAMTRAMCK, MI assembly plant
both A & E-bodies were assembled on LINE#2 (the big line, around twice the capacity of LINE #1)

E-bodies became LINE #1 exclusive some time in January 1970

(I don't have a lot of A-body docs) but I don't have any on LINE #1 until May/June/July of 1970  :thinking:

all 1971 thru 1974 E-bodies were built HAMTRAMCK assembly LINE #2

But if Hamtrack fabricated E-Bodies of the 1970-modellyear were not produced on line#2 after somewhen in January, how comes this following survivor Hemi-Challenger was produced on line#2 (=>"EN2"-code on its fendertag), though it was build deep in MARCH?

If the car is in fact a true survivor I doubt very much that it would have a bogus tag.

Dan,  :iagree: , thanks for replying! In this specific case I could live very good with a repainted enginebay, if the fendertag proofs to be legit.

Did send Ken a PM...hope so much he replies and could give some more infos on that Hemi-Chally.

Maybe @RzeroB already knows that specific R-code-car and might want to add some information or even a broadcast-sheet? Thanks in advance!

There can't be too many FC7 Hemi RT/SE's running around down in Oz, so I would assume that tag that Ken presented would belong to the car that Jim Tatton owns (owned??). I've have known of his car and have had pics of it for years, but unfortunately I do not have any FT or BS info or pics for it. In fact, that's the first glimpse of the FT and partial VIN for that car that I have seen up until now. No help I know. Sorry I can't help.

New info - I'll take it!! Thanks Toby!! I'm no expert, but it's fun and it keeps me occupied discovering new stuff. Though I have gathered a lot of info on these cars, I am still waaaaaay behind some of the other way more knowledgeable guys.
