He stores all the finished parts in the house.  Do you have a bench?  You must be a flexible guy bending over with all those parts on the ground.  Looking good sir.  Real good.

YES....all these pictures are taken in the basement of my house. We had this house built 15 years ago and it's always been that way. There is a staircase from the garage to the basement (special ordered extra cost option) .... when taking new people on the nickel tour....walking down the steps and opening that door....I always say.... ''This is what I call my very understanding wife" .... it blows people's mind when they see it for the first time.

My wife and my kids have been very understanding over the last 15 years....in fact I can count the number of times they entered the basement likely on one hand....I'm lucky if the cat even goes down there.

I like to add...rest assured we have very adequate home insurance, a heck of a monitored alarm system and cameras.
However one thing I have that a lot of small companies try to avoid is actual "business insurance" that covers my dwelling, my tools and up to $100K in contents at any given time on top of my regular home insurance. Always a good idea to keep your car insured while it's being restored... :alan2cents:

I've been down in Alan's "lair" and it IS as he says- organized! A place for everything and everything in it's place. He blew me away one day when I came begging for some steering box bolts, as mine had disappeared and Alan just walked over to one of his many bins and 5 minutes later I had them! It's kind of weird to look at his basement floor and see 2-3-4 complete and perfectly painted diffs with springs and brake cables all lined up on the floor. The man knows what he's doing and he does it well- Damn, now his itty bitty head will all swell up or such!  :))
In the immortal words of Jimmy Scott- "pace yourself!"

Thank you for your business and support Alan, I appreciate it! :drinkingbud:

I never get tired of hearing about how Alan pulls this off.  What is more impressive in my opinion is not his shop size, but the fact he can make a little money (I know, you aren't getting rich off this) restoring mopars.  Your time management skills have to be incredible to pull this off.   :bradsthumb:

The nicest addition to any restoration... :drooling: Day 136

Funny what you find under the paint.  Time for some metal work to save the fender.

Here's the inside of the driver's side which is in perfect condition. Neither of the lips are rolled. Original owner, original paint car.

Beautiful metal overall. There's something about an original car with all it's original panels even if they need slight but properly done repairs.
