Sam Davis is the owner , , I have talked to him many times but I doubt he will do the custom header but you lose nothing by asking !!
I am glad you have a back up plan anyway

ledphoot

Fab shop has the modified header ready for test fit. If it fits we will have ceramic cost reapplies and good to go

ledphoot

Well it fits... Trying to figure out whether to have them recoated or just wrap em up...

anlauto

Personally I wouldn't spend any more money...I would just wrap it.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I wouldn't wrap it. Metal fatigue sets in pretty quick. I've seen circle track headers wrapped not lasting one season.  :alan2cents:  Either recoat it or use header paint.  :alan2cents:

JonH

coat them. wrapped headers don't last long.

anlauto

See that shows you exactly what I know about custom stuff  :headbang: Don't listen to me :bye:

X3 on coating. Both so they match.
Or paint.

Thanks guys...

Made as little more progress in the engine compartment today.

 :iagree:
If you need more opinions you have to coat it again , anything else will just shorten the life of the header so you can spend on headers a second time  :alan2cents:

So I am going to paint the new sections of the headers AND wrap them with titanium wrap etc. for now. I am committed to doing full custom fabricated headers in a couple of years..  This path is more about time than anything. I am trying hard to get this car going by August.... A few more weeks of delay may make that impossible...

Ordered all of the stuff to handle upholstering my seats from legendary and a carpet kit from Rock Auto today. All that is left for the interior is kicks / door panels / sail panels etc., the plastic pieces... Have to figure out what I want to do with the window regulators and all the stuff inside of the door (rods / plastic clips etc.).. Then it will be all about new tinted glass from AMD / trim etc. There's gonna be a lot of little things after this.. Hopefully I don't run out of $$$$ before August :)

A little more progress this weekend

Wrapping headers is harder than it looks. Anybody got any pointers?

I called it a day after two tubes. Will come back to it next weekend.

YellowThumper

Unfortunately no suggestions to offer from me.
Hopefully as you get further experienced it will get easier and quicker.
