Yes, a 1971 AAR Cuda Hemi Six Barrel

My idea is that if the auto insurance industry didn't get nasty, & the federal emission standards went away, 1971 & beyond would've been great, with a continued improvement of the great muscle car era.

In my fantasy, Plymouth would introduce 3 engine choices for the AAR Cuda in 1971
The 340 Six Barrel as standard, & with the 440 Six Barrel & Hemi Six Barrel as optional engine choices.
A 'play' on the Mustang Boss 302, Boss 351, & Boss 429 series at Ford.
Chrysler DID have the Hemi Six Barrel engineered, & ready to go for the 1971 model year.

The same Hood & Air Cleaner system would fit, & be exactly the same for all 3 engine choices.
The AAR Stripe would end with a 340, 440, or Hemi 'callout' as in the picture shown.
A 1971 'blackout' grille would look awesome as shown in the pictures
Maybe even an AAR Cuda convertible could be offered, & would be awesome.
Maybe some 'special' colors just for the AAR line of Cuda' also.

It would've cost Chrysler 'peanuts' back then, & would've really increased the 1971, & future, fan base.

My plan is to acquire a 'base' 1970 or 1971 Barracuda, & drop a Hemi Six Barrel into it.
A 'blackout' 1971 grille, & 1971 tail lights if I used a 1970 Barracuda, & a change to the AAR stripe as shown in the picture.
Plus, an AAR exhaust, Hood, spoilers, ect, to complete the AAR Cuda 'look'.

It would be a 'tribute' car, to what a 1971 AAR Cuda could have been.
Wish me 'luck', or other ideas if you have them. LOL

Good luck on you car search.
Not sure I like the blacked out grille look but hey, to each his own.  The stripe is cool as hell!

I have no room to talk with what I've done to my poor '72 /6 over the last 40 years.  Custom paint jobs, Pseudo superbird wing, Gran Coupe additions, 383 dropped in and now I'm restoring it to a 71 with my old GC parts, Cuda fenders and AAR spoiler .... however for some reason I thought it was a good idea to keep the 72 tail lamps. Everything else is 71.  Nice thing about a /6 is no intrinsic value.  I can do anything to it and drive it without hurting the car's value.  I'm sure you get that.

Oh well.  I got it back from paint last year (Y3) and I've just about completed the back end.  Hopefully moving to the new updated custom vehicle wiring system in January.

I have always hated the very blacked out 1970 AAR grill.
It's just too black & takes away from the beauty of the grill.
With a blacked out 1971 grill you get to see the features of the grill, a lot of silver.

Now I have seen a picture of what was suppose to be the 1971 TA before they killed it off.
Was there any pictures of a 1971 AAR Cuda?

I like it.  That would be a certain head turner for sure.   :takemymoney:
