Well, I guess something  in our recollections must be wrong, and it would be impossible to verify anymore. The car was crushed in the 90's.
I took the rt hood and rallye gauges off of it shortly before it was a cube.

I would throw an idea out there that someone removed the 6 pack and added an easier to tune 4bbl in its place.

If the owner knew the VIN, that would show what engine it had come with. I agree that somewhere the intake got changed.   :alan2cents:

Seems like probable solution. I don't see the original owner all that often, but next time I see him I'm going to ask about it. He thought it was an evil possessed car with the amount of tickets and accidents it accumulated.

I dropped into Nick's garage a couple weeks ago while on a road trip to say hello and see what was going on. Went on a Sat morning, Nick was a great host giving me a tour of the shop, rare engines and parts.
Interested in my projects as well.
The whole crew were great guys from his motorhead friends to hard working staff. George the man who produces the show was running around trying to get footage for the show and trying to upload data to there server, he was frantic as there server went down as he was trying to produce a good show with Nick taking the Challenger out for a break in blast.
I posted some video and pics on my Jackson's Facebook page. Not sure this will work, but here is a link.  https://www.facebook.com/JacksonsProjects/
