I can't insult my friends anymore by saying they work like a girl! You're putting lots of guys to shame.

Good job guys! Heather, I don't mean to rain on your parade but do yourself a favour and toss the chrome water neck. They are notorious for leaking!!! I fought with mine for three years before I gave up and by then the antifreeze had messed up the paint on the front of the intake and top of the timing cover.

I was thinking the same thing on the water neck, good call.  Car is coming along great!!
Looking for the right 70 Cuda project!

Awesome progress!  :ohyeah:   One more bit of advice is to black out the radiator support behind the grill or that pink will definitely show thru. Easier to do it noe before assembling more stuff you will have to either take off or mask. Keep up the excellent work.

I would also recommend that you paint the front glass channels black as well.

That'll eliminate any pink contrast showing thru between the dash and the glass in between.

Keep up the hard work. It's really paying off.

Great work!  I like the engine color.   :iagree: on the rad support blackout.  If you are still looking for a nice looking(not stock) water neck, I bought a polished aluminum one from Summit.  It uses an o-ring instead of a gasket.

It's a really nice looking piece.  I haven't started the engine yet though.  My intake manifold is new so the sealing surface is completely flat.  I'm not expecting any issues with sealing.  The only thing that concerns me is that the thermostat is slightly loose inside the housing.  The stock housing holds the thermostat tight.  I put some Hi-Tack gasket sealer on the thermostat before installation and it's tight now.  I'm not sure if there would be any issue with the thermostat moving around slightly.  :dunno:

I have used the aluminum with an O-ring, it's awesome.
