1970

JS = 383 MAGNUM emblems (hood mounted)
all 1970 Challenger R/Ts with (N-code) 383s are ORANGE painted HOLLEY carburetor equipped 383HPs (335hp)

JH = 383 FOUR BARREL emblems (fender mounted)
all 1970 Challengers with manual transmissions & (N-code) 383s are ORANGE painted HOLLEY carburetor equipped 383HPs (335hp)
all 1970 Challengers with automatic transmissions & (N-code) 383s are BLUE painted Carter carburetor equipped 383s (330hp)

I have seen V8 emblems instead of the 383 FOUR BARREL emblems on Challengers, not sure if it is:
"early VS. late", "Hamtramck VS. Los Angeles", assembly line mistakes, inventory shortages, ~50 years of repairs/modifications or a combination of issues  :notsure:

the 1970 parts catalog (May '70)
1970 CHALLENGER fender emblem (JH)
"V8" - # 2579748
"383 FOUR BARREL" - # 3504233

the 1970-71 parts catalog (December '71)
1970 CHALLENGER fender emblem (JH)
"V8" - # 2579748
"383 FOUR BARREL" - # 3504233

1971 CHALLENGER fender emblem (JH)
"383 FOUR BARREL"- # 3505444

IIRC the '71 emblem is smaller than the '70 version

Been looking around but I guess they don't repop these. Lucky mine look pretty decent.

Honestly, I'd much rather have restored originals over repops..

The RT emblem on the deck lid wasn't pitted so I did polish and repaint it. It came out nice.
