Yeah, thats another thing I don't have any experience in (well, I painted my Dart GT in the 80's and did all the bodywork) but the blocking seems very difficult. I will learn that also in time.

Not necessarily difficult but it is time consuming. There's some pros on here that will give you some tips when the time comes that will make it easier. Paper choice and technique make a huge difference.

I think blocking and sanding is much easier then the metal work.  Once you get all the metal work done, I see if I can help you with some tips on the skim coating and sanding.
