Hi everyone! I just finished cleaning up and repainting my trunk and I need to put everything back in such as lights, fuel vent and exhaust hangers. Obviously lights have gaskets but what is normal for the fuel vent and exhaust hangers that mount directly to the trunk floor. I can't recall what was sealing them originally but I want to say it was just seam sealer. Can someone enlighten me?

They were never "sealed" from the factory. :alan2cents:

Okay, that makes it easy then. Explains why no one sells gaskets for these. Lol

Thanks

Found a fuel vent kit that appears to include a gasket. Is this gasket not originally used then on fuel vents or were you referring only to the exhaust hangers?

Yes, my mistake...I read your post too early in the morning  I thought you were referring to the fuel filler neck which only has the rubber floor gasket. The fuel vent lines have a white foam oval gasket as pictured in your link.

Do yourself a favor and buy the body and firewall gasket kits from Detroit Muscle Technologies.... likely also available from David at Roseville Moparts, mention you're a member and get your discount.

That oval gasket along with every other gasket you will need will be in the kits  :alan2cents:
