Trying to figure out how best to hang my exhaust system and which hangers are correct.  73 with the twin rectangle cutouts in the valance and when I got it it had cherry bombs attached to the headers and nothing else.  The trunk was rusted out and if they existed, the two hangers that mount to the trunk pan were gone.  Heat shields were there but barely hanging on.  It has two hangers attached to the rear frame rail and look like these.  I thought they were B body.

I don't think their position will allow the tailpipes to line up with the valance openings because they are so close to the frame rail.  I think I need to get a pair of the trunk mounted hangers?  I haven't been able to find any pics of these hangers on an e body.

I'm battling a few problems with this Summit exhaust system if i want to use the Cuda valance. It is setup to put the turbo mufflers next to the gas tank and the square tips won't fit correctly.  I found out too late that it is desisned for a Barracuda valance with the little half moon cutouts on the bottom edge.   The pic shows where the mufflers are and where the valance openings are going to be.  I need to look at moving them to in front of the axle when it comes out of storage.  I'd like to make it work with the rectangle tips I bought and the Cuda valance.

These are the hangers that bolt to the floor that the mufflers attach to. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183325381788

Right.  I am going to grab a set of them.  Unfortunately I'm going to have to tweak my homemade trunk pan to accommodate them. I also need to figure out what the correct bracket is for the passenger side of the back seat wall.  Nothing on that side and the mount that goes on the shock cross member on that side was cut and I haven't seen any repos.

Call Accurate Exhaust . They'll probably have what you need.

@gzig5  My 73 Cuda did not have the rear seat back wall hangars, it had the belting hangars above the axle that bolt to the shock cross-rail on each side, then the trunk pan hangars...

belting hangars can be found on Classic Industries - # MD4527 - they have the trunk pan hangars too...

Dave at Roseville probably has them as well, and they are a sponsor (THANK YOU, DAVE!)

@gzig5

I have a 73 cuda.   I already had the exhaust hangers that bolt into the trunk pan but I had my exhaust guy build the rest...

Perfect. That is pretty much what I have and I can see how he dealt wit it. I'm going to have to get the mufflers moved in order to use the tips, but I feel better about it now. Thanks.

If you use the stock hangar brackets that attach through the two dimples in the trunk floor they line up directly over the tail pipes in the correct position. That way gravity will keep the tips centered in the valance opening. Not the best picture but it is all I have. BTW, this photo is proof you can use a stock rear sway bar with 3 inch exhaust and it won't rub.
