I knew a guy that flipped GM cars and swore that you could rub tinfoil over old bumpers to make them look much better. I've never tried it but it might be worth a shot.

Does it need to be real tin foil?
All we have around here is aluminum foil.
Not sure if aluminum would work the same since it's a completely different metal than tin.
Does anyone still make tin foil?

Not sure, I never had to try it myself. I would imagine the aluminum foil might work as perhaps the aluminum is a bit soft and will rub off on the tiny pits in the chrome?
