Suggestions on engine paint

Ok, just another question about sequence of painting the whole assembly...
Let's say you get the engine painted on the stand, but because you want a more complete job you don't have the exhaust manifolds and bellhousing on.
Later, after those are added do you just mix up a little more and touch up the added items?

I used Eastwood products last time I had to paint an engine, both primer and finish coat. Bought a quart of each and used an HVLP gun to shoot it all. Worked great and has withstood the test of time for over 7 years so far...

I second the Eastwood engine paint, the quart can not rattle can. I've painted a couple engines using it, goes on nice and thick and stays put. No need to prime either. The stuff is great. 5-6 years on a few of them and no chipping or peeling.
