Torsion bars

Curious of a few members could post up pictures and some information about keeping my deck lit up without using a stick LOL. I have the manual and I do know the following,that I need two plastic slides that run along the bottom circular part of the hinge. And my left torsion bars are missing, the manual says they're under load but is it easy enough to do by hand? Thanks ahead for all the information and help

Yes, you should have two rods and they are under tension. It is easy to change the torsion. There are a number of slots the rods slide into that can increase or lessen the amount of tension. I forgot how I did it exactly. But it isn't too hard. Putting them is a bit of a challenge to get them routed. Pics would be good. I'll see what I have, not sure if I can get to the trunk right now though.

As mentioned, you need two rods and the way we used to move/adjust them was to get a long (12 inch) 3/8ths extension and being careful to hold it onto the bar end tightly, lever if off the current hook and lift it onto the desired hook.
