Trunk Lock Support

Test fitting the trunk lock support for a 71 Barracuda.  For the top portion, do you weld from the inside seam or plug weld front the front of the tail panel? Assume no spot welder.  Mig only.

I plug welded from inside to minimize any chance of the weld showing on the other side, but the trunk seal will cover that lip up pretty well so it probably doesn't matter.

Decided to check my B body that was built in the same factory and noticed spot weld to the tail panel.  Also noticed not tucked up in the lip.

Make sure you test fit the lock rod cover from the latch support to the taillight housing.

Good idea.  Test fit the tail light and the trunk lock shield to the trunk lock support. Moved the trunk lock support over to the right a smidge to center the bolts between the trunk lock support and the trunk lock shield.  Deck lid locks.
