Just go to the 70 style 2 rod system.  :alan2cents:  We know it works with the T/A spoiler.

I've got mine adjusted for the most tension and it still won't hold the lid up with the T/A spoiler on it. It's the single rod '71 and I've tried a couple of different rods.
I don't think that will work without changing the hinge brace. The passenger side hinge brace doesn't have a provision (slots) for the rod to adjust.  Red car 70. Gray primer 71.

I have a 71 barracuda with a go wing spoiler and a single rod adjusted in the 3rd slot. Holds the lid up but it closes hard when I lower it, I think the 4th slot would should work fine.

Still waiting for a buddy to come over and help me move it to the 3rd hole but if that does not do the trick may well have to move to the 4th and last hole.
