hey all,   I need to attach this bracket back onto new wheelhouses but dont remember what mounts to it so I now how critical the placement is.   its 70 only so I cant even look at one of the other cars to figure out.

Also, jack brace will be spot welded back on.. I imagine that can be plus or minus 1/2" not critical.   thanks !

Can you post a picture from a little farther away?   I'm not sure exactly where this bracket is in your car?   I have an unmolested '70 so hopefully I can answer your question.

thanks i'll try to find better pic, its the 1/4 glass area.

I dont think it is visible with qtr on unless you can see it from inside with rear panel off.

Looked at my old pictures, I don't have that bracket, mine is a convertible.

The rear window guide that "clips" onto that bracket, does just that....clips on, therefore the location doesn't have to be dead nuts accurate, however the fore and aft location has to be somewhat close, because I think if the bracket ends up to low, it would pull the track in tighter to the glass possibly causing and issue....chances are slim, but it's possible. You can also bend it back once welded in. Pretty sure the wheel tub has an "impression" where that bracket should be, center it up in that and you should be golden. :alan2cents:
