This is a earlier hackjob that I'm fixing, I cut it out and will fix it so it looks original. Now, since this is a convertible, there is a cap on the wheelhouse (that is not reproduced), and look at the 3rd picture, those 2 flanges welded to the bracket on the right side of the picture, what are those for? Since they did a bad job with the patch there, (and just cut those off) I can't tell how it's supposed to look like. I assume one of those are from the inner wheelhouse? But the other? Maybe someone with a convertible has a picture of this area.

I don't have any convertibles so I'm not able to get you any photos.  But I think @Convertcuda  is a convertible expert and he might be able to help?    :fingerscrossed:

Trying to find pictures of that area, found some but the area is usually covered with seamsealer. But this picture from MCR shows a replacement outer wheelhouse, that has a flap with a hole in it. My ADM piece does not have that flap. Could that be it? And where there special outer wheelhouses made for the convertible? It's a mystery.... hopefully someone who knows chimes in.

MCR is a good resource for reference pictures btw.

I think I figured it out, the flaps must be from the wheelhouses, here's a removed outer wheelhouse from a convertible, got a flap in that direction, and a picture where you see the inner wheelhouse is curved out towards that bracket.

I just wonder why my AMD piece do not have that flap, or is the flaps only on convertibles?

Thanks MCR for great pictures!

FWIW now you have a patten to trim your new hardtop wheelhouse into a convertible wheelhouse...
