Trying to adjust window alignment so that windows close into groove of weatherstrip. Pass side door window closes on the inside of the rear quarter window. I've made some adjustments to move door window out and quarter window in but can't get enough for window not to hit quarter window. If I close window with door open then close door the window will land in groove of weatherstrip. I have a picture but it doesn't show to well, hope you can  understand what I am trying to describe thanks. Any ideas what else to adjust?

Check and see if your rear guide is running on the track properly....I'm guessing it's behind it, not on it . :alan2cents:

The triangle piece that is bolted to the glass. It has to align inside the vertical track.

This might help you.  Unless the others info did the trick, odds are your going to have to loosen everything and slowly tighten everything back up. There is no one adjustment that works. Unless your a hellva lot luckier than I am !!  :D

Does that mean the glass has to be removed ?

Your rubber weather strip gets folded on top of the windows, they don't go into it, that's where you might be having problems.

The weatherstrip I am talking about is glued into the roof rail. Not following what you say about folding over the window. That sounds like its attached to the window ?

The rubber part of the weather rubber you're trying to go on the outside of the glass folds up on top of the glass.  FYI, they were never glued in, only on the bottom front where the screw goes in there was weather strip adhesive that held it down.

Ok I see what you are saying, but if you can make out what is on the pic that I posted ,when closing the window in the door it raises up on the inside of the rear quarter window. I haven't taken the door panel back off yet to look but I think it's probably what Alan suggested.

Yea, I don't think it's possible to roll up the window if it's not in the rear track, I seriously don't think that's the problem.

I had wondered about worn hardware or any thing of that nature, but the windows operate pretty well.

I just read through the FSM and they talk about primary & secondary air seal ? Any idea what that is about? Also I looked at the guide and the track as far as I can tell it seems to be attached correctly.

I'll be digging into this as well tomorrow... I was blaming the fit on the weatherstrip until I replaced it tonight.

I'm not sure how well they're supposed to fit, but doesn't seem great right now.

Have similar issues with my windows, both sides are out of wack and loose. Planning to get a roller/guide replacement kit before I pull the door panels off. Please post up as you go.. photos appreciated. Work inside the door panels always a blast, I always end up looking like I gave the cat a bath.
