MOPARFST HAS ME CURSED

2019 - towed home, 2 broken teeth on torque converter gear which stopped right at the starter's gear, Something not usually
           thought of
2022 - towed home, new starter installed 2 months ago: DEAD. Oh, and that 1/2 jug of antifreeze that overflowed. At least a new
           rad cap fixed that
Well........ that bites....

When you say dead.... battery done?..... or battery good,  just doesn't turn over?

Sorry, meant starter DEAD. My battery is still good.
We swapped in the new battery from the trailer's winch - a grinding type sound & attempting to start
We even boosted that new battery with one of the Niagara cars - same crap
Jumped the starter relay - same, engine turns a couple times slower than a snail
Trying after a "cool down" then only get that rapid clicking.
In my garage (approx. 2 hours later) only one click (relay) with each turn of the key.

Looking at getting a new (not rebuilt) Remy starter from Amazon. This "new" one is a WAI, A reputable auto electric place in town uses that company and swears by those starters.

I keep telling myself, "it could have always been worse". At least the coolant puking is solved.

Nope, not this time, straight from the show field. Went to change parking spots and that's when the drama began.

It's getting harder and harder to enjoy this hobby with the crap parts that are being pumped out. Never heard of WAI starters and will never buy anything with the WAI name again. Even AMD with the wrong threads in the seat belt brackets I bought. And the Lengendary issues Alan encountered.

My money is on you John. I don't think you're the kinda guy to let some bad luck overpower you. Good to see you again, as well.

I bought my starter about ten years ago from the Dodge dealer. Ya,  bit more expensive, but it's been faultless.  Unless you are sticking with original type starter?

Thanks for the pics alan
