Original 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A 4-Speed (Numbers Matching) SOLD

Sublime FJ5 with White Interior, Rallye Gauge and Power Brakes.  Dash VIN, Cowl, Radiator, Engine, Trans, and Fender Tag all are original and match.  This is a rare Tri-Color E-Body.  It's Sublime (hi-impact green) with black T/A Stripes, Black hood, White Interior and White Vinyl Top.

THE GOOD: It's a real deal 340 Six Pack project with all the numbers matching.  A very rare color combo and it's a 4 Speed.  The frame rails look solid and has all the right stuff to make it a high end car when restored.  High Impact color with very cool options.  The front and rear torque boxes are in place and the T/A only exhaust hangers are in the rockers.  Rallye dash is in place and it has Rallye wheels.  The 4 speed pedals, shifter, 340 6 pack air cleaner, rare exhaust manifolds, T/A Heads, T/A Rockers, and a lot of original date coded parts are still in place.  Rear T/A Sway bar is still in the car too.

THE BAD: It's missing some items that can be hard to find.  The carbs will be the hardest to track down.  The interior switch panel of the rallye gauges and light bar is missing too.  Oil pan was modified to hold more oil so it will need replaced.  Missing the console, and inspection cover for the trans.  The radiator that is in it is not accurate, but I think I have a T/A Radiator out of another car that is numbers matching correct.  A restoration was started by someone before I bought it and they replaced the drivers side quarter panel and painted the engine bay.  One of the doors looks to be replaced with a better one.  There is rust in all the typical places and I expected once I started the project to find more rust in the normal areas.  It's going to need floor pans, truck pan, passenger side quarter and repair to the roof and window channels.  But the all frames rails look to be real solid. No Build Sheet for the car. The truck lid was replaced at some point and the T/A wing cut outs were added.

REASON FOR SELLING: I've got a few E-Body projects and ever since we've started this website my passion and time has been spent here.  Instead of sitting on this project knowing full well I'm not going to get to it anytime soon, I felt it better to let someone else restore it.  It's hard to beat a Hi-Impact 4 speed Six pack E-Body and I know I'll never find one like this again.  Not easy to let this car go.  It's a decision I've wrestled with for awhile now.  This is not an easy project by any stretch of the imagination.  But when it's done it will be one of the coolest and rarest color combos I've ever seen.
