that is one low-optioned 'vert.

Decent price if the trunk is decent and minimal bondo and rust.

No mention of #s matching drivetrain.

Correction, does state #s matching (why can't I modify my post?), but no pics verifying that.

I know this car and the owner.  It's very nice but has  a couple of wrong things on it.  Still, for a 383 4 spd it's a good buy

Can you share some the "wrongs" on the car. I'm realy interested and would like to know before I get too emotionally into it. Would this car have a bulge hood? J54? It's not coded for it.

Are the black front kick panels correct with the white interior?

I have a 383 HP B7 blue 71 convertible that has been apart for decades. It's coded for the Bulge hood on the fender tag but I wasn't sure if a 71 Challenger was a 383 HP if it automatically came with the hood. Is it the general consensus Baptist red car here being it's not coded on the fender tag left the factory with a flat Hood? This car really appeals to me because I can get in and drive it and not have to wait another five years four mine to get restored.

The hood was added.  It has the notch for the '72 fender on the right side, so I would check to see if it was replaced (I think it was).  The stripes, mirror and wheels have been added.  The hood has a small cutout on the underside on the hood on the right side rear for some odd reason - not sure why.  Drives really nice and sounds good.  I tried to buy it a few years ago, but the owner at that time wouldn't sell.  It was owned by the same person from whom I bought my R/T SE.

Yes. White kick panels were never offered on an E-body.

Why was the hood, tips and gas cap not available?

LOOKS like a nice car to me.....I would not worry about the items mentioned as being added, to me they make the car better........
1970 Challenger R/T convertible Triple Black

- N42 was included with the above cars with the exception of 318 RALLYE cars ('72-'74)

.....  It has the notch for the '72 fender on the right side, .....

that fender is what should be there by June of '71 - the notched fenders started showing up on production cars spring of '71
