You have to look at the Mecum listing to see more pictures.  :alan2cents:
The underhood pictures don't show the fender tags very well. However there is a good picture of the broadcast sheet.

I saw this at Mecum. This is a pretty solid car. Definitely looks like an unrestored original car. Didn't go crazy checking everything but this was one of those do you restore it or leave it like it is.

That is always a dilemma.  This car doesn't look like crap, but certainly does have its share of patina.
Being original is really special.  And restoring a car to high standards these days is really pricy.
In the end it is up to the owner to decide which way to go.
I am reminded of this T/A that was here locally in the Chicago area until it was sold 4 or 5 years ago.  I got super excited about it when I saw it, as it is an identical car to my T/A several VIN numbers from mine also sold at Mr Norms.  It turns out our cars were 2 of 4 identical consecutive VIN T/As sold by Mr Norms.  The car had a lot of rough edges in the paint, and the owner was on the fence about restoring it.  He finally ended up selling it, and I wonder what the new owner ended up doing with it.  I heard it ended up in NY but otherwise don't know any details of what happened to it.

I drove this car at Mecum and talked with the owner quite a bit.  It started and ran like a top.  Drove excellent.  He let me take a bunch of pics of it before it got parked in the building.  His father purchased it new, and it's been pretty well maintained.  The reserve on it was 112K, but he told me right as it was going up on the block that if it hit 90K he would take off the reserve, which he did, and the gavel fell at 90K.  I could see it was a bittersweet moment for him when we chatted right after it went through.  He told me all the little dents and dings on it were from him and his bicycle growing up.  He was definitely still attached to it.
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.
