Needs a PPI.

Beware of these guys.  I bought an old BMW from them over the internet, and it was a lot more rusty than they said it was.

They also said they replaced the fuel pump ($$$ on those) and they didn't.

Sheisters.

The ad kinda makes them seem shady. That wouldn't stop me from this car as they are so rare now. I'd definitely inspect it carefully.

I HAVE to stop looking at this thing  :looney:
With this picture I was going to point out the ill-fitting lower front valance....but that's too obvious ....

Look at the THICKNESS of the fenders at the grill headlight area... :o  Which side is correct ? That would be a lot of bondo in the passenger side

Would a 383 have a 402 oil pan?

Looks like the picture taker isn't exactly centered in the car when he took the pic hes more towards the passenger side so i think you see more of the front 1/4 as it flares out.

Yes.. Unless it has the sixpack pan.. Which I have seen on 383 cars with the skid plate....  Back in the 80's I parted out a wrecked 70 Charger with the skid plate K & sixpack oil pan...

I personally think it is worth a look.
Hard to find in decent condition; a rare car that could be a fun driver for a decent price.
Just a thought; wouldn't a BB Barracuda have a standard front sway bar in 1971?

Reserve is not met, it is advertised on their website at $49 500.00, a bit high with the various issues pointed out earlier, IMHO...

Attention Grand Coupe owners....I'm not too familiar with 1971 GC's but does this look anything close to original ? I've worked with SE Challengers and the fabric used was totally different and the consolette matched the headliner...

In my day, I have pulled out plenty of original carpets and I can say without a doubt there weren't cut-up and seamed together like this mess....And the ad clearly states "original carpet"  :crazytalk:

Not the original vinyl top in my opinion ... :looney: Look where the top seam is  and it's the wrong colour..

Some one raped it in vinyl, they are the same as S/E challenger's.  :alan2cents:  The headliner material dose not look original ether!

50k is quite optimistic. My car is restored and a convertible and no one was willing to go near the 50k but me. Even then the seller had to wait years before I happened along. This car is a nicely loaded Gran Coupe and a big block which is pretty cool but I'd be very surprised if it broke 40k. I'm still thinking around mid 30s even with all the problems cited. If there were other 71 Barracudas to choose from then no but of course there are not.

Just to be clear...I really don't have a problem with the car, I agree the asking price is a tag high, but not that far off....

What I don't like is the seller, now that I've read the ad and watched the videos....He obviously doesn't know a lot about the car, I get that, he's just flipping it....but come on...stop with the BS  "original this" "original that" .... :looney:

Exactly. The seller is shady but I expect that. A smart buyer should and that's why an inspection is just so valuable. Scrutiny in here is also quite helpful. You guys have all pointed out things I missed the first few times I viewed the ad because my love for these cars has me wearing blinders.
