My take is someone bet on a sure thing and....
Now is reaching point of limiting amount of loss.
Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.

Be neat if it was an original 318 4speed with AC in Lime Lite  with a elastomeric front bumper :drooling:

Agreed it would be drool worthy.
The floorplan around shifter also did not look correct for a 4 spd. No real hump and flat face at top.
I have only seen my 74 pan. But assume all 5 years were the same.
