No one wants to hazard a guess on the value of a 440 4 speed RT in plum crazy? I see similar cars list for high 50s but I don't know if they actually change hands at that price.

You would think they would sell upper 50's but I haven't sold one so can't say!

So is it easier to put a value on this car if it was a V code?

is there that much difference in value between a U and a V ?

I would think yes, maybe a 10-15k value difference but I don't really know for sure. I see four speed 383 cars routinely in the high 40s to around 50 so a more rare 440 must be worth more and an even more rare six pack must be above that. How much of a space in between I can't say but if I had 50k in hand for a 383 RT and I found the identical car in a 440 for just a couple thousand more, the choice would be easy.

Well the car is now at $20k and the reserve is off so looks like a sold car. Still has a day or so left so curious to see how high it goes.

Auction ended and it sold for $26,100. That seems like a fair price to me if there aren't hidden problems the ad failed to disclose.

Interesting UPDATE on this one....I heard from a third party today that a mutual friend that lives about 5 minutes from me is the guy who won this car. $26,100 USD will be about $39K CDN once he gets it across the border and pays taxes :o  I hope he doesn't plan on flipping it for a profit... :bigmoney:

Cool to see in come to Canada, but this guy will likely do nothing with it...he has a pile of cool projects, great intentions but NOTHING ever gets finished... :crying: He's like our local classic car hoarder...

I'll try and confirm that he actually went through with the deal...

project hoarders keep the hobby around for longer.

That's a pretty high purchase price.

Maybe someday the project will be resold and I can have a shot at it. I still think it's a pretty cool car.
