Nice car! No mention of it being matching #'s?  I think it should pull around $225.000. If it is matching numbers might go up a little higher. :notsure:

I think @bpsmopar should buy it  :takealook:  What do you think it will go for Peter ?

I can't wait to see that car in person when I go to Indy to check out the auction next month.
I've been buying lottery tickets so I can buy some of Julianos treasures there, but so far no luck with that scheme.  Still several weeks left so there is still a sliver of hope.  :fingerscrossed:
Dana Mecum bought that car and I'm sure the reserve is high, it may end up in several of his auctions before he lets it go.  That is how it goes with some of the highest end cars he buys.
I'd wager he would want in the neighborhood of $500K for it, maybe even more.  :alan2cents:
I like the '71 sunroof hemi Challenger even more, and I'm told Mecum bought it from Steve also.  No doubt it will surface at a future auction.

You can go on line and bid on Steven's collection. I thought about buying something small just to have in memory but then there's shipping currency exchange and of course a 23% buyers fee :o  Something costing $5 USD would likely cost me $100 CDN before I get it

With this expectation set on the Mecum site, iI don't think $225k will make reserve.

Estimate
$400,000 - $500,000

$400,000 to $500,000 is really high. I would be shocked [but happy] if it came anywhere near those numbers.

I think it will exceed $500,000. Dana owns it though so he may hold out for more.

The sunroof option cost more then a convertible and it is the only one so far more rare then a hemi convertible so would have to be worth more the one of those, what are they worth?

Captain Cool

Besides having a sunroof, the Challenger is a Hemi.

Both the Challenger and 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertable will bring big dollars. The Cuda has excellent provenance.

What forum members are setiously plan on attending the auction?
