Thinking about selling

I just finished restoring my AAR. I wanted to know what everyone thinks what is the best way to sell it.  It has a T/A block, heads, intake (non matching numbers) and correct 4 speed carbs. It is original B5 blue with black interior, I change the interior to White/blue (looks much better).

I was thinking about Ebay and Cars on Line. Has anyone had any success with Ebay?  I don't have a build sheet for the car, how bad will that hurt the value. Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you Bpret for your reply. This is my second Cuda, I also have a 71 Cuda.  I would like to get $80-$90 for it. I can't keep both. This is a pic of my 71.

My personal opinion is that if it is not "numbers matching" the build sheet really doesn't matter, much. It all comes down to the quality of the restoration and finding that one person that really really wants it. I'm not an expert on AAR's but $90k seems like a stretch, definitely at the top end. Again, may just take some time & effort to find that person.

I think you're right in the price range with other 4 speeds, and with a fresh restoration with a great colour combination, you should have no problem selling...
Check out the current offerings on Cars-On-Line ranging from $65K (autos) to $105K (4sds) None appear to be fresh restorations, and all are the more common AAR colours....in my opinion, you've got them all beat...

I like what I see. I think you should list it a bit higher than what you are thinking. If it was me I would be advertising the other car but I can understand everyone prefers different stuff.

Umm...I beg to differ.  Buildsheet is massively important, regardless of the #s matching drivetrain.

BS tells you what options were installed as well as the color combo.  And most importantly, if the #s matching transmission is missing, BS is the only true way to determine if it's a real four-speed car, which can add at least 20% to the value.

Pretty sure the Fender Tag will identify a 4-speed vs 3-speed or Auto. I get that to some the build sheet is the holy grail, but I don't really see the value for a vehicle that will be modified. As stated, just my opinion.
