2nd Gear Brake Stand

DON'T...!
I got a little over zealous with my car last fall. Was away overseas working for 4 months - came home jumped in the Cuda with my daughter and after a few burnouts etc out in the country I decided to do a second gear brake stand. Well don't do this if you have too much traction...as a result I burned out my clutch and almost destroyed my flywheel! My fault and my daughter is still laughing at me. She's 29 and loves to drive my Cuda! My car is a dynoed 623 hp 650 tq beast!

Anyway, I took the car apart and decided to buy a Hemi 18 spline to replace the 23 spline since my buddy had one he just completed a rebuild on. It has a Passon performance aluminum tail shaft. Ordered a new Mcleod clutch part number 75240 (which are not being made anymore and being replaced by the twin disc style). Ordered a relocation kit from Dr. Diff. Bought a Lakewood Scatter shield. and, a set of Hoosier 295/50/16 drag radials for some better traction....now I will probably start breaking other parts! also order a new leather interior from Legendary with new burlap and foam for front and rear seats.

I got the new tranny in along with the clutch installed however found that the Lakewood shield will not work on an e body unless you hammer in the seams around the tunnel which I didn't want to do so I put the 11 inch bell back on. I took the seats all apart and sanded and painted all the frames etc. I had another guy do the seats which cost me 500 bucks which I thought was a good deal. I got all the interior back in the car. The only thing left to do is the relocate kit to accommodate the larger tires. I have some pictures on my phone which I uploaded however pictures of the interior etc were done with my camera and now I'm back overseas working for the next 3 months so I will post up later on. Looking forward to driving my car again in July when I get back!!

I know dodj....247 miles since the new motor went in. I won't be doing that again...the only reason I did it is because my buddy just completed his A12 Runner with a stroker and he does it ALL the time! I guess skinny red lines on his car makes it ok?

I drove across (Calgary-Bryson, Quebec) last October. Calgary-Brandon then Brandon-Sault (that was a long stretch) then Sault to Bryson. My mom needed a new car (she has a 2001 Mercury Marquis) so I found one in Calgary - a 1999 with 101K - even the same ugly red colour and drove it out to Mom. Owned by a sweet little old lady who lives nearby who decided to sell and buy a new car at 92. Thus no learning curve for my Mom who is 84 and still drives and very well I might add. I kept the cruise on 130K all through Onterrible and never got a ticket!

I don't think I would ever venture driving the Cuda across Canada...something about a 4 speed and 410 gears!
