340 TA block found

Found this TA block in an AAR my friend and I picked up last weekend. Anyone looking for it? It belongs to a TA challenger.

I will add that the AAR registry and TA registry advised this is a new car to them. This is just an orphaned TA block right now. Came out of this B5 blue 4 speed car.

Sorry if that was confusing. We brought home the AAR. I contacted the AAR and TA registry about the AAR VIN and the TA block number. The AAR is new and the block is new. The respective registries could only advise that the block number would make it belong to a TA Challenger.

AAR is not for sale. Only car for sale is my 70 challenger SE project.

Neat score! One question, how can anyone tell by the partial VIN that this engine was installed in a T/A and not an AAR?

I've asked that question before too, it's just an educated guess based on groups of cars...if the one before it and after it are Challengers then it's safe to ASSUME it's a Challenger.

Why, were they built in batches?

That would make some sense but definitely not a certainty as we all know from previous threads that VIN's are not in sequence on the assembly line.

The jig platform where they first begin the unibody set up would be what I would think makes the most sense.
Keep in mind for example Challengers and Cuda's; along with all the other frame set ups had a different length wheelbases.

They certainly had more than one frame set up in the beginning, but not likely more than 3 or 4 going at a time I would think.

Just my theory.
