Another option for the expansion valve - this is the one that the 70 unit superceded to. Again unless you're out for serious judging I would just buy one and run it , still a mopar part. I got one for $21 the other day but those have sold out.

Do they have a number stamped into them ? I know ECS makes a part numbered decal for them

Good question, I will take a look later on and see. I know @JEJJ had just sold one of the original earlier ones recently -

I don't know when exactly, but I think by 72 the condenser and the muffler on the suction hose changed, so not much will interchange with a 70 from the later cars.

That's about it for now, I'll check my computer at home later on and see if there's anything else that might be useful.

There are some other #s on the valve but it looks like the part # is only on the decal.

In my earlier post I mentioned the nylon hose being used in 71... Well headejm's photo shows that hose on a car with a 508 SPD.... And to confuse the issue my old R/T SE with a 723 SPD had the rubber hose... And my R/T vert with a A13 SPD also has the rubber hose...  So apparently either can show up in 70...

Shoooter

unless one was changed under warranty or at any time in the past 50 years  :dunno:  are the crimps dated like a power steering hose?

I think lines #2 & #3 are correct Big-Block e-body "DISCHARGE" lines
@headejm my picture is up-side-down compared to yours - does the hard-line in red look the same?  :takealook:
