Sound advice...maybe. Helpful, not at all.

No A-body (60-76) ever had an isolated kmember. 73- up B, R, F, M, J bodies are isolated kmembers. Don't know if later C-bodies went to those?

The book is the 1974 Chrysler Plymouth Chassis and Body Service Manual...so unless Plymouth decided to put useless information and diagrams in their manual, then I think at least one of the a-bodies came with an isolated k-member.

Don't order parts from the repair manual or some guide. physically go through the car and understand what's needed.

If you had read the previous posts, you would see that the car is currently not in our possession.  And...you would have read that I will check it out further on Tuesday. We were simply trying to get a handle on what we MAY need.  Why you see the need to tell me what and what not to do seems rather rude.

I believe you are looking at the diagram titled "Frame Forestructure -Carline R and W". That what it's listed in my 74 Dodge Body Service Manual on page 13-6. R and W bodies are B-body Plymouth Satellites and Dodge Coronet/Charger respectively.

Plymouth: Dusters, Valiants, Scamps and Dodge: Dart, Dart Sport, Demons are V and L carlines respectively (A-bodies together)

Page 13-9 shows the  "Frame Forestructure -Carline V and L". That will be for your car. That's probably 3 pages after the page you pictured in the Plymouth manual.

I apologize about the remarks and poor word choice about ordering parts. This hobby is expensive and I just want to help people from making more expensive than nessceary. Also, I should have spent some more time to explain.

The factory Repair Manuals tend to have some pictures not updated from past manuals/models that can make things confusing. Usually something general like where to grease the suspension. Sometimes not. And sometimes even has pictures of future models. For instance, in the 1971 challenger manual they show a picture how to remove a 1972 taillight assembly. There is no picture or diagram of a 1971 taillight assembly.

Thank you autoxcuda! I'll go back and reread that section. I never heard of the 71 Taillight issue before. Very interesting and I learned something new...that's what this forum is all about.

I agree, Steve is a pretty stand up guy in the Mopar community. I think you took that wrong. Easy enough to do when you can't see a persons face/emotions  etc...

and here's the problem with todays text/messaging, they are one dimensional. And easily taken out of context. 

Looking at the 74 parts book, the illustration shows  the K directly bolting to the rails, As like an E body does,

also, I just read the parts book text just to verify pic is not misleading, the insulators were used only on PDCY frame -RW cradle zip zero naadaa for A body.
