  Good morning all,   I have a '70 Challenger R/T (lacking some of it's documentation) and I am putting together a
"Resto Mod" for my son. This car was originally equipped automatic transmission and has a cruise control. I am looking for input as to how to adapt this cruise control to work with the 4 spd transmission.

Basically the cruise control doesn't care if you have an auto or std trans...   The only thing is if the driver were to slip the trans in neutral the cruise would start opening the throttle to maintain speed... You could use a clutch switch but someone might simply pop the trans into neutral without touching the clutch...

You could use a rev limiter set to maybe 4500 rpm so the engine doesn't get hurt.... You could even get fancy & tie the rev limiter to the cruise so it's only on if the cruise is set....

I like the clutch switch idea. Thanks for the input.

It doesn't have to be a factory big $$$ switch. Just a standard $10 limiter switch would work great.
