dead pedal/foot rest

I want to put a dead pedal where the dimmer switch is located. Any recommendations? I know you auto cross guys gotta have something to rest your foot on and help plant your butts in the seat.

I went to the wreckers & pulled one from a car there just need to weld up a small bracket to hold it .

Chryco what did you do with the dimmer switch?

I actually did this for my Truck so there was no dimmer on the floor but you could move it just inside of the dead pedal .

I was going to fab one up from aluminum sheet stock, but the question of the dimmer switch didn't occur to me. I suppose the best location would be on the dead pedal, but above where your foot rests. It's maybe inconvenient, but would get the job done.
