Is there a list of unusual build practices for early 70 LA Cudas? Like no vin on the radiator support? Or just anything unusual about them? As compared to later build cars from  LA and cars built at other plants.

Thanks

The way the boor vin sticker is placed, usually no build sheet, black undercarriage instead of primer. fender tag has a different font, vinyl top listed twice.    :alan2cents:

Thank you. How is the door vin tag placed? So the floor pans and and undercarriage is a black primer?

I have an LA built Challenger and recently learned that the type of body caulk/sealer used on the door jam panel, by the door hinges is different than Hamtramck.  It has a fiber in it.
Also, the front leaf spring mount is black, not bare.
Of course, the RH rear wheel house would always have the mount tab/spot for the evap tube, even if the car was shipped out of California and didn't have the evap system.

Sideways and under the latch, numbers facing the interior.  :alan2cents:

My 70 Challenger is one of those early build LA cars. My door Mylar is placed vertically instead of horizontally. I also believe that my Slant6 70 Challenger is the very first Slant6 Challenger built for the initial year 70. I found after researching this 2 or 3 Slant6 Barracudas. I have found the stamped VINs in the places on the car where they are supposed to be.

LA fender tags had two fonts, the regular font as seen on Hamtramck built cars and the slenderer font that is on some of the LA cars. My Dealer Promo car has a build date of 802, has the normal font on the fender tag.

I know of two

BS23V0E100004

and

BS23V0E100005

04 is a red/red I believe manual transmission that is a project in St. Louis.  05 is the RTS 'Cuda.
