OK, I have a question for the group re: my broadcast sheet and subsequent decoding here on the site.

The broadcast sheet shows D58, 4.10 rear axle ratio as decoded on this site, but when I was doing some research, I read the 4.10 was reserved only for manual transmission and D58 was 3.23 ratio for automatics.

Any of the experts here have any insights?  I just had my Dana rebuilt, and swapped the 3.55 for 4.10....

Decode sheet from this site attached.....

A34 is the 4:10 ratio dana that is available only with an A833 4 speed.
The A32 was the 4:10 ratio dana that is only available with a 727 automatic transmission.

A32 is called "super performance axle package"
A34 is called "Super Trak Pak axle package"

That is per Galen's little white book.

so the Dana w/ 3.54 ratio was standard on all Hemi cars regardless of transmission, and an option for the 440-6 but had to be order with A32, then D58 was the 4.10 ratio option?

I am still learning all of these nuances and I find it super interesting.  I never really looked too much into my build sheet, but was reading some things that sparked a few questions

440 and 426
8-3/4 with 3.23 was standard with automatic (see link in first post)

Here are the optional axle packages from the 1970 Dodge Pocket guide - same avaialability for Plymouth.

no, for 1970 there are 3.23:1 (8-3/4") open axle HEMI automatic cars (also 3.23 w/sure-grip (8-3/4") 3.55 w/sure-grip (8-3/4") & 4.10 w/sure-grip (DANA60))

1970 'cuda 383HP engine & 3-speed manual transmission were STANDARD
if you ordered the OPTIONAL 440HP, 440+6, or HEMI
you were required to also order an OPTIONAL transmission: a 4-speed for ~$200 or an automatic for ~$225
if you ordered the OPTIONAL 4-speed
you were required to also order an OPTIONAL DANA60 axle package: 3.54:1 for ~$150 or 4.10:1 for ~$250

there are ZERO automatic MOPARS with a 3.54:1 DANA60 from the factory

Well, as usual I missed the link in the first post, which was of course super helpful!  Thanks all, always learning, or at least trying
